(TAMPA, Fla.)– Barkha Herman, a Senior DevOps Engineer at AgileThought—a national provider of enterprise custom software solutions and development consulting to Fortune 1000 clients—will be speaking at the Code on the Beach 2018 conference in Atlantic Beach, Florida, on Friday, August 10, 2018.
Since 2013, Code on the Beach has been the premier annual conference for learning and collaborating with leading minds in tech in the North Florida area. Held from August 9-12, Code on the Beach will offer intensive, high-quality sessions on software engineering topics ranging from cloud to mobile to services—and it’s just steps from the beach and a beachfront pool. Sessions are designed for software developers with all levels of experience, ranging from intermediate to advanced.
Herman will be speaking from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. EDT on August 10. During her interactive session, titled, “Control Freak: Risk and Controls in Azure DevOps,” Herman will share her DevOps perspective and the lessons she learned while implementing large-scale applications on Azure. The session—which is ideal for developers who want to move to the cloud, for DevOps experts working with security teams, and for executives with risk and control-related concerns—will also introduce controls that can be used to mitigate risks.
“The cloud is an essential part of agility for enterprise Infrastructure, but one of the biggest barriers to entry is the concern about risk and controls,” said Herman. “I’m excited to present this topic and discuss an effective approach to implementing cloud deployment—with an emphasis on risk and controls in Azure-based solutions—using real-world examples and best practices and principles.”
