(ATLANTA) – AgileThought—a leading provider of agile-first, end-to-end digital transformation and consulting services to Fortune 1000 clients—announced that it will sponsor the Women in Technology (WIT) “Women of the Year” Awards at the Georgia Aquarium from 6–8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019. AgileThought’s general manager of Atlanta, Chris Martin, will also present the award for “Small Emerging Organization,” a category for women who are employed by companies or organizations with 250 or fewer employees.
The WIT Awards celebrate women who are positively impacting Georgia’s science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics (STEAM) community. The annual event recognizes women from small- to enterprise-sized organizations and one nonprofit organization. Additionally, one middle or high school girl will receive the “Girl of the Year” award for her participation in WIT Girls—a program that collaborates with the Georgia business community to support middle and high school girls as they break through barriers and advance opportunities in STEAM fields.
“Each year, I look forward to this event because it not only recognizes the women who are driving the success of Atlanta’s STEAM community, but it also unifies our technology and academic community,” said Martin. “We’re proud to be a WIT Partner and thrilled that we get the opportunity to sponsor such a special event.”
WIT is a nonprofit organization that educates middle and high school girls about STEAM while also providing networking and professional development opportunities for women. With program involvement from over 2,500 professionals, 500 students and over 250 volunteers, WIT is known as the largest, most active organization of its kind in the region.
