(TAMPA, Fla.) – Quincy Jordan, a principal transformation consultant at AgileThought—a national provider of enterprise custom software solutions and development consulting to Fortune 1000 clients—will lead a presentation titled, “Living Off an Agile Landscape: Agile Farming vs Agile Gardening,” at the Agile2019 conference in Washington D.C.
Each year, thousands of agile professionals from around the world gather at the Agile2019 conference to learn about cutting-edge agile practices and engage with others who want to exchange agile ideas. This year’s conference—which will be held from August 5-9—will feature over 260 sessions scheduled across a wide variety of tracks: agile companies; agile data metrics and forecasting; agile foundations; agile in government; agile midway; audacious salon; coaching and mentoring; collaboration, culture, and teams; customers and products; development practices and craft; DevOps; enterprise agile; experience reports; leadership; learning; lightning talks; project, program, and portfolio management; self-care; testing and quality; the future of agile software development (IEEE Software); stalwarts; and user experience.
During his session on August 6, 2019, Jordan will teach attendees the differences between agile gardening and agile farming, and how to cultivate an agile environment at an enterprise level. Attendees will learn how to work more collaboratively and discover strategies to grow agile practices at scale.
“Agile farming is more than just collaborative workspaces and morning standup meetings—it’s about recognizing when your organization is ready to evolve agile practices from one small environment to agile at scale,” said Jordan. “Agile farmers and agile gardeners have many things in common, but the differences determine whether or not they can live off an agile landscape, achieving true business agility. I’m looking forward to helping others learn how to do that.”
