“Coaching Around Resistance” Session to be Featured at Path to Agility Conference

(Tampa, Florida) – Sam Falco, an Agile Coach at AgileThought, a national provider of custom software solutions and development consulting to Fortune 1000 clients, will be a speaker at the Path to Agility Conference in Columbus, Ohio on May 23-24, 2018.

Falco will be speaking at 10-11:15 a.m. on May 24. During his interactive session titled, “Coaching Around Resistance,” participants will learn how to identify common “faces” of resistance–or behaviors that might indicate that a person is experiencing an emotional reaction to change. Participants will then work in table groups to identify strategies for helping clients recognize the emotional underpinning of their resistance. Afterward, a role-playing experience will give participants the chance to practice coaching resisters to resolve their reluctance to the changes of agile transformation.

“Path to Agility has a strong history of delivering great content from agile community leaders, so I’m excited to be a part of it this year,” said Falco. “’Coaching Around Resistance’ is an important topic to me because it aligns with the most important Agile value: putting individuals and interactions ahead of processes and tools. I’m eager to share the techniques I’ve learned for helping people identify the sources of their resistance and help them adapt to a new way of working.”

Hosted by the Central Ohio Agile Association (COHAA), the Path to Agility conference was developed to further COHAA’s mission to inspire creativity and innovation in the delivery of value. The conference is suited for all levels of agile expertise, and speaker sessions cover a mix of business, technical and management topics.
