(TAMPA, Fla.)– Steven Granese, Vice President of the Transform Practice at AgileThought—a national provider of enterprise custom software solutions and development consulting to Fortune 1000 clients—will lead a presentation titled, “Everything I Learned About Agile Coaching, I Learned in Little League Baseball,” at the Agile2018 conference in San Diego, California on Monday, August 6, 2018.
Held from August 6-10, Agile2018 is Agile Alliance’s annual conference dedicated to furthering agile principles and ideas. Known to many as “THE” agile conference of the year, the event gathers thousands of professionals to exchange ideas, collaborate on common challenges and learn about cutting-edge agile practices. This year, the conference will feature 279 sessions on agile topics ranging from beginner to advanced.
Granese will be speaking from 2-3:15 p.m. PST on August 6. During his interactive session, Granese will discuss the parallels between coaching concepts in baseball and in agile, and why a focus on outcomes can be more effective than only teaching practices.
Granese has attended every Agile Alliance conference since 2014, and this year will be his first time presenting this fun and unique topic. “A few years ago, I recognized some commonalities between coaching my son’s baseball teams and agile coaching. The lessons I learned from a New York Yankees clinic made me a better agile coach, and I can’t want to share that story with the audience,” Said Granese. He added, “I intend for this session to be unique and fun—I’ll be asking for volunteers to participate in some live hitting and pitching drills.”
Agile Alliance—which was founded by a group of the original Agile Manifesto authors—is a global non-profit organization that was created to promote agile values, principles and practices. For more information about the organization and the event, visit the Agile Alliance website.
