ALM Expert Eric Landes Named Professional Scrum Trainer

TAMPA, FL – AgileThought, a Florida–based enterprise software development and consulting firm, announced today that Solutions Architect and Microsoft ALM MVP Eric Landes has received the Professional Scrum Trainer (PST) distinction from Scrum.org. This allows AgileThought to expand its consulting and training services by offering the opportunity to earn Scrum Certification by taking the Scrum.org assessment after course completion.

“We’re thrilled to bring the industry’s top Scrum training and certification to our enterprise clients. The founder of Scrum.org, Ken Schwaber, is actually one of the founders of the Scrum process. The certification and testing ensures the curriculum is current and effective,” said David Romine, AgileThought CEO. He adds, “We are passionate about improving the software development practices of the organizations we work with - either through training or working side-by-side on an engagement.”

Landes commented, “Scrum.org sets a very high bar for becoming a training partner and receiving certification. We believe their certification and testing process provides the most value for those who attend. This drive to provide a thorough understanding of the Scrum process aligns with the needs of our clients.”

The training courses are intended to educate all team members on the most advanced techniques used to incorporate proper Scrum into the software development process. Scrum.org is solely focused on improving software development. They seek experienced trainers, like Landes, who are first and foremost exceptional software developers and team managers.

AgileThought will offer the following courses (private and public):

The Professional Scrum Developer (PSD)

This course is a 3-day course that teaches how to create great software using the Scrum framework. Working in a series of Sprints, teams of students collaborate, apply modern engineering practices and use the Scrum framework to quickly adapt to changes. They learn how to develop increments of potentially releasable functionality from a realistic Product Backlog.

The Professional Scrum Foundations (PSF)

This course is a 2-day course that teaches Scrum in a highly practical way. Working in a series of Sprints, teams of students build a software application that incorporates real-life problems. The mechanics, roles, principles and (empirical) process of Scrum are demonstrated. Common missteps are discussed so students can develop a higher awareness of their symptoms.
