AgileThought Virtual Community: Effective Backlog Refinement For Remote Teams

Thursday, May 28, 2020 12:00 - 1:00 p.M. EDT

Location: Virtual Zoom Meeting

Date: Thurs. May 28, 2020

AgileThought Virtual Community

Now more than ever, companies around the world are scrambling to acclimate to the new reality we’re all facing: Social distancing and entirely remote workforces. For some, this shift may be less impactful – but for many, this is a daunting behavioral and emotional adjustment.

This is why we introduced our virtual community forum: To give attendees a platform to discuss the challenges they’re running into. This open-dialogue event is facilitated by our agile coaches and experts. The workshop will be capped at 60 participants to ensure a high-quality discussion.

This Week’s Conversation Topic:

Backlog refinement is about adding details to the product backlog. Refinement, on the other hand, is something that the Scrum team does. Unlike the Sprint planning, the Daily Scrum and other events, the Scrum Guide does not prescribe exactly how refinement is to be completed, so the “how” is up to you.

What to Expect:

Building upon our previous sessions, this AgileThought Virtual Community forum will provide attendees with tips for making product backlog refinement effective while remote. These ideas will also translate to improved backlog refinement once you and your coworkers are able to return to the office.

We will also record this virtual forum and publish it on our training library for future viewing.

Who Should Attend:

Anyone impacted by this transition is welcome to join, but this will be particularly helpful for:

  • IT Leaders who want to understand the challenges their teams are facing
  • Managers looking for ways to support their direct reports
  • Companies looking for remote solutions for their teams
  • New remote teams
