Data Governance Analyst

Main Responsibilities:

  • Identification of critical data elements.
  • Identification of data sources used in reporting and KPIs.
  • Identification of key people within the data domains (data owners, data champions, data stewards, etc.).
  • Discovery and detection of opportunities in terms of data in each data domain.
  • Participation in the implementation of policies, processes, standards for data management in each domain.
  • Support in the definition of initiatives to mitigate data opportunities/issues encountered.
  • Support in the discovery and prioritization of Reports/KPIs by domain.
  • Assists in the definition of the data lineage.
  • Assists domains in executing their responsibilities towards the data governance program.
  • Tracking, monitoring and advising the data domains.
  • Seeks to be the link between the technology and business areas.
  • Support in coordinating the activities of the data governance office.
  1. Discussion materials for working sessions with domains, committees, etc.
  2. Planning of meeting agenda and distribution with key people.
  3. Preparation and distribution of minutes of meetings held
  4. Estimation of data value and associated cost.

Technical Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Engineering in Computer Science, Business and Information Technology, Systems or related. Knowledge of the different Data Management capabilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of Data Governance (DAMA Certification desirable).
  • Intermediate knowledge of Data Quality and tools.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Master Data and Metadata concepts.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Business Intelligence and SQL.
  • Intermediate knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
  • Intermediate knowledge of process mapping.
  • Basic knowledge of Data Architecture.
  • Intermediate English proficiency -Advanced is a must.
